Loch Earn Railway Path Phase 3
Client: St Fillans Community Trust
Part of the development of a Sustrans long distance route between x and x. This phase was in two sections, 1km of tar surfaced path and 3km of unbound aggregate surfaced path.
This project represents one of the most complex contracts CRC has undertaken in recent years with multiple sub-contractors and difficult access due to the 1km tarred section of the site being along a steep sided railway embankment. Chris deployed the CRC staff and machinery to carry out the excavations (including 240m3 of rock breaking), retaining wall construction and path under building up to sub base layer.
